ACHD raises $165,000 at 18th Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Over the weekend, the Ada County Highway District raised $165,000 at the 18th Annual ACHD Charity Golf Tournament to the benefit of the Children’s Home Society of Idaho.

ACHD employees, with the help of generous donations from local businesses and individuals, hold the golf tournament every year at SpurWing in Meridian to raise the funds for a local charity.

“This outstanding annual charity event is completely employee-driven by great ACHD team members who not only volunteer their time, but select the charity, plan all actions, and do all the heavy lifting to best assure we continue to give back to our community.  Without them, none of this would be possible,” said ACHD Director Bruce Wong. “We are also very grateful to the generous business community who consistently, year after year, came together to support this worthy cause.”

The Children’s Home Society of Idaho is a non-profit that offers progressive mental, emotional and behavioral health services with a focus on children’s counseling and psychiatric care to thousands of children and families each year. Their mission is to improve the lives of children in our community.
